I'm Cassie

I’m an interaction designer driven by curiosity and creativity. I’m fascinated by human behavior and how people use technology in everyday settings.

I create digital experiences for real people that solve real human problems.

Currently, I am a freelance Interaction designer as well as full-time student in the University of Washington’s Masters of Human Computer Interaction + Design Program (MHCI+D). With a background in visual design, my focus is in on creating  digital experiences for real people. I’m seeking full-time interaction design opportunities.

By day, I can be found sketching out wireframes, creating logos, or designing websites. By night, you can find me out and about exploring with my dog.
I've worked on a variety of project types and have experience with prototyping and user testing. conducting user research, and rapid ideation and iteration. I have experience working within the Sketch, Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, XD),  I work with Asana and Slack on a daily basis and am a die hard Mac person.

Ever since I was a kid, I’ve had a passion for telling stories. That lover stayed with m was I grew up. I discovered design when I was 13 and found a space that truly allowed me to combine my love of art with love of story telling

I’ve spent the last 5 years working as a visual designer at various PR Agencies and as a freelancer. While working, I realized that there was still an element of human connection missing from my work. In 2018, I made the decision to go back to school and pursue a masters degree in the field of human computer interaction.

Graduate School

I’ve spent the last year in Seattle, WA at the University of Washington in the Masters of Human Computer Interaction + Design program. I’ve taken an interest in designing products for real people that solve real human problems.

Beyond Work

I live for experiences. I’m on a mission to travel the US in my free time and see all the amazing street art that every city has to offer. I’m a fierce advocate for LGBTQ+ rights and representation and spread love, kindness, and positivity wherever I go.
